Partypartypartydie.

How do I rate parties? Hmm, usually by how weird/crazy/hipster/drunk the attendees are, the music, and by the beverages I consume. The party I went to in Long Island City by those factors was DEF a success, as it started with a dance party, there was a cute dog, and that I got to put on Echo and the Bunnymen on vinyl. Now, I'm certainly not a record nerd, but it was kinda cool. The people were all really nice. I think I also enjoyed myself as I had shots of vodka, which I hate, chased with red wine from a measuring cup. This was all they had that was clean, and hey, let's be honest I do the same shit at my own apt when I don't wanna do dishes. But really, that is a quick way to me acting silly, that alcy combintion! I think I was awake when the sun came up, but sure as shit couldn't make it to the roof to check it out. It was goooood fun! It reminded me of the Pratt parties I used to go to every week (and just did actually a couple months ago), even though I got buttnuts lost in Queens on the way home. Oh, well what else is new eh? Very regretably, I have no pics of theses shenanigans because Bunnycam is in surgery oh well. And guess what! Our second annual Anti-Valentine's Party is coming up in a couple weeks too! I should get Wild Irish Rose again, oy vey.

I'm gonna kick your ass until your head falls off

HAHA alright, for real I almost rolled off my couch last night watching that! Hoooleeee sheeet, phew! In the episode Zorak coughed up that pink thing that was apparently was making his voice like that, and without it he has a "beautiful man-voice," so he tries to make $ with a singing career, and behold! Adult Swim magic. Man.

Also my friend just put out his new solo album, and it's gorg. You can listen to some of it here, it's like poppy pretty fun, and his voice is soooo niiiiice. Plus, he's pretty. Just sayin.

Anyway, fuck. It snowed.

These are the things I'd be better without,

to borrow a bit from Dottie Parker. For me these things are:

This shit starts my night, and gets me amped and fidgety before actual inebriation, and then the higher than beer alcohol percentage (6%) gets to work on that getting me drunk part. Plus it tastes like liquid Smarties. I love Smarties. One time in college I ate a 5 pound bag of them my 'rents gave me as a funny gift. I ate them for breakfast with coffee, ask wifey, she remembers that shit. She thought I was batshit haha! I digress.

Shots of whiskey (normally I don't care which type, and most of the time I don't even necessarily care if it's whiskey, I mean I'll drink jager, soco and lime, or something someone left on a table before I got there. I'm not too picky) will finish of that job of getting me silly. Usually it's preceded by a round of "Nooo! No Krissy!"s from all my friends, of course, to no avail. At which point, I will laugh at them probably call them pussies and take the shot. Then rinse and repeat.

And the final thing in the Krissy bad idea normal weekend night trifecta,

Ok, that's pretty severe, but you get the idea. And actually now with my track record, it's actually getting paa-RITTY darn close. I like to make friends, and if it's a dude in a band in the basement of Lit, WELL thems the breaks. I'm sick of guys in bands. I'm even more sick of saying I'm sick of them, because I'm lying thru my damned teeth and I can't even fool myself. Hmph. I'm going to get a Sparks and listen to the Church.

Also, I'm better off without eating @ like 5 AM, because for real I'm not even gonna remember what anything tasted like, and I'll prolly wake up with most of the hummus on my jeans. It's too bad Bunnycam is in the hospital cos it was a doooozy last night, as per usual with whore, and I'm venturing out into Long Island City tonite wow.

Return to Luna, also, the face of Orbital Bebop is revealed

Although I've had an amazingly resiliant headcold for the past 2 weeks, I still having been trying to get my bunnyventures on. Especially last weekend, which basically left me in a boogery, brochitisy condition this entire week. First off me and Whore went to check out a Death of Fashion show, which, as per usual, kicked arse.

The Cakeshop is this little tiny basement venue with little christmas lights, and that night they only had regular, instead of sugar-free Sparks. I blame that for my later in the night mishaps. That and a tumbler full of whiskey. Oh, and maybe drinking a frozen margarita on the street in 2 degree weather could have something to do with my current illness, JUST a fucking thought.

Then the next night was the grand reopening of my old fave place, Luna Lounge. Junior and senior year of college I used to go there aaall the time with my little vegan, play the Church on the jukebox, see free bands, ect. I've prolly been over this. ANYwhozle, they opened after a couple years right in the next hood over, Billysburg. Me n' wifey, vegan, and some other peeps met up there in celebration. The place is a big ol' auditorium like thing, with the bar over in the corner, and the bands sound really good. PLUS, the fucking highlite is that Smiley Paul, my favest ever bartender from the old Luna is there! Pretty epic.

Aaand he's still making weirdo fruity shots that get me drunk without me being aware of it. Gosh I heart him. Me and vegan stayed until a good 3 AM or somesuch time, and I'm excited for my new hangout, def. She chronicled the night better than I, here tis=Bemon's flickr set of Luna shenaniganz

The next day I had literally a raspy squeak of a voice and was maaaad sick, oy. Wise decisions are not my specialty, and I apparently overestimated my immune system. By this point tho, I'm feeling mostly better, DESPITE the fucking fact it's like 10 degrees outside. Ya know, it's always either fucking freezing or disgusting no-air conditioning hot in this city, I think my sis had the right idea when she lived in San Diego. GODDAMN its cold.

Last but not least, have you ever seen Girls Just Want to Have Fun? That fucking amazing movie from the 80s with Sara Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt? Well, there's a scene at the end of it when they have their crazy dance off to this song called Orbital Be-Bop. I love that song. If you know me at all you know NOTHING makes me happier than that shit. Well, I found this video of some other song of theirs (not nearly as amazing, I mean, same cheese factor but no real value) on YouTube, and I almost peed myself. This is the face of my favorite song...

..OF COURSE the face of Q-Feel would have a mustache like that. Can someone for the fucking LOVE OF GOD make my LIFEtime and post the video of Dancing in Heaven?!?! Pleeezzzzzz?!?

*I forgot*

My Bunnycam is in the hospital getting sugery..boo!! But she'll be better in a week or 2, so it's ok. She randomly got a boo boo when I was trying to document Jilla's bday..at which I drank Hennessy..good Lord. My poor Bunnybun : ( I miss her already.

Yummy!

This was from the NYC feature thing Fearless Music..um they're scottish. Gahhhhh!

That's like me and veg sushi

nataliedee.com

This online comic is pretty sweet. So guess what freakin bar opens up this Sat night after 2 years of hibernation? Luna Lounge , weee!! Ahh, what times I used to have there! Me n' Sarah Vegan set up shop there for awhile..I remember that was like the second place I saw the Rosenbergs, and they let me do lights..well, for a hot second anyway, cos I wasn't very skilled. Their jukebox had both Church and Marty Willson-Piper albums in it, to my drunk enthusiasm, and I even met Marty once there. At the end of the bar, when my fave bartender told Marty what a big fan I was, and conversation ensued. Thanks to my on and off again life partner whiskey, I even whipped out my tattoo..oy. I remember him talking shite about Intepol live and me blabbing about the Saints. Good times..oh, also me n' Sarah Vegan used to get really silly and stuff.

HAHA ahhh godDAMN that's a great pic..it will be weird in the new Williamsburg lo-cash, but we shall see. Oh, plus it's not free to see bands anymore! Oh well, I wonder if Smiley Paul will still be bartending?!

Happy Belated Birthday

To my first love, David Bowie. I wondered why I had spent an entire day listening to my Bowie albums the other day...it was my subconcious. I used to sing this song when I was like 11, dear little bubble-headed me, the vulgar things I sang and had no idea. Thank god for Youtube, once again, cos I had only seen pictures in books of his Cracked actor Hamlet thing. It's pretty amazing. He turned the big 6-0 last Wednesday. I still have my Ziggy Stardust cd I bought when I was 9, my the Hunger VHS I bought when I was 13 (oh! to my poor parents chagrin), and I still watch Labyrinth pretty much once every six months. Cheers to the master chameleon!

Where have all the good times gone?

When does having fun turn into unsafe situations and utter out-of-my-headedness? At Lit, after the open bar is done downstairs, and shots from plastic cups start up, apparently. That is the exact moment I start to resemble my freshman year roommate who would pay for Steel Reserve 40s with quarters she stole from a friend and take shots of Georgi vodka until she could barely open her eyes..and then would take some more and make out with someone. Why is it as I get older I don't turn into my mother, I turn into my schizophrenic and alcoholic freshman year roommate??? Yikes. New York's LES isn't quite the most amazing area to turn into the drunk werewolf, eith. Luckily a young heavily tattooed guy found me slightly amusing, and steered me clear of the gutter. Ah, makin' friends the same way Kristen used to! Moving on.

I got a shirt with a cute little anime bunny on it, holding a gun. It's really cute. So in the same vein, I found this website just fucking around the internet.

Silly Pink Bunnies.com

PLEASE the bunny situation is out of control in this guys work. SO goddamn weird..he's a genius. I'm going to look at every gorgeous illustration and try and not think about my stupid crazy ass.

So, is this too much?

Cos I really don't know. I'm fashynlexic. Aka, I think colors and patterns match and look acceptable when they clearly to everyone else do not. Also, I tend towards dressing like a 10 year old. Who likes band t-shirts. I really do love these tho..maybe in the spring when im not wearing the Hello Kitty hat, it might be a tad too much even for this crazy bitch.

Continuing footage of the Bunnybeard

And I'll throw this in for good measure,

Before the beard, my fave Mac accessory was the Carmen Miranda fruit hat in this video..espesh when Mac dances around with it on. It's where whatthefuck meets ohmigodheshot. Although the grey album was the first I heard after their greatest hits, and was a billion time better than anything I'd heard when I was 17, it's probably my least fave of theirs now. The Game and Bedbugs and Ballyhoo are still fucking amazing tho. Oh, yeah and DUH Lips Like Sugar..that shit never gets old.

OHMIGOD, ok, and this one too. The Cutter is on my fave Bunnyalbum, Porcupine, and this is from them on Top of the Pops. Ian's wearin the trench coat and dacning like..a spazz? I dunno, but it's hilarious. And still hot.

Saturday, January 06, 2007

Yee-ahh! It's Sat night!...let's check Myspace.

Porcelein Voice

Uhhh daaaaanmn bitches. You make fine music. Yessiree, and I'm addicted to it.

First official barf-out of '07

Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame....

The less shitty parts of '06!

Ahh, the Bunnysploits of the past year..So in 'O6 I continued to work @ Apple, interviewed, got nuthing, tried "street team" bullshit, got DUMPED and actually cared, lost around 4 cell phones, the original Bunnycam, my wallet, I met some cute boys, saw my Bunnies a couple times, saw my Churchies, had some Interpol sightings, lost 5 pounds, gained 5 pounds, drank way too much, fell " in like" with someone (arrrrgh), realized my love for kareoke, made a million mistakes, had some total mental breakdowns, but basically had a fucking blast anyway. Ain't gonna focus on the negative.

My fave first gift of '06: Ta-tas!

Who finally developes at age 22?? But I will not look a gift horse in the boobs. Also, do you like how I actually have a picture to go along with this? Haha. I'm silly.

My fave drink of '06: Wild Irish Rose! Yummy smurf blood!!

My fave holiday of '06: A tie between Halloween/(Anti) Valentine's Day/Easter

...hopefully the Holiday Whore will take a brizz-eak in 2007..but really who knows...!

My fave concerts in '07 which is reallly hard, cos I only saw like, a bijillion, but these fuckers were sentimental:

Elefant..who I saw like 4 times but this was the SHIBANGIBANG, and also when we discovered Aberdeen City. Diego and his goddamn tight pants..then later when they played Apple and I talked to him a bit, that was the encore! He. Is. Too. Much. Gorgeous.

The Church obvs, who I hadn't seen for like 2 years and they were so so beautiful...who I always get all mushy about cos I remember listening to Starfish when I was like 17...awwww..sniffle..

And of COURSE my babies, for the 14th and 15th time, hehe. However much they rocked the fucking house, I was slightly sad I didn't get to talk to Mac at either show this time. It's like a tradition. But he made up for it by doing crazy shit like trying to kick a guy in the head and yelling at the fans a lot. Oh, Mac!

My fave bar of '06: the Library, duh!

My fave songs of '06:
This is hard but I just chose 2 that came to mind really quickly.

Fuck Art, Let's Dance- Prison Pretty HAHAHAHAHAHAH. I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH.

Loose Talk-the Purrs

My fave hugbunny of '06:

Ok, she's the only girl I refer to as my hugbunny but cheers to my best friend forevz, who this year marks the like 14th year of friendship. I love reminiscing about the times we've given e/ other hickies, listened and sang along to the Phantom soundtrack, drunken skinny-dipping, horseback riding on Friday nights, sledding, stupid-ass high school dances, and of course, our Bunnyshows. <3

My fave tv shows of '06:

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

the Girls Next Door, yeah, the one about the Playboy Bunnies. I dunno, they're cute, and the one girl Kendra reminds me a lot of one of my bffs Amy. Plus I relate to girls who fall for much older men..ok, maybe not 80 yrs old, but still.
the Venture Brothers! Go Team Venture!!

My fave movies that gave me nightmares in '06:

Ummm..

High Tension was amazing..beautiful..but the Hills remake was so disturbing it was EXHAUSTING! Like, it even made me disgusted, and that ain't a small feat. Cos I'm a horror champ, you see.

My fave season of '06: OMIGAWD Summer!!

I ran around like a crazy girl drinking Sparks and hung out @ Lit every Thursday downing dolla vodkas. I drank Mojitos and Bloody Maryslike it was my job and went to Coney and saw lotsa sweaty shows. Oh, and the Dirty Jerz shore! Good times...I wore skirts, ahhh I remember skirts! And flip flops..alright, now I'm getting sad.

I went to see Coney's Siren Festival FINALLY!

My fave animated gif of '06:

You spin me right round, kitty, right round! Like a record, kitty, right round, round round!

My fave pasttime of '06: Kareoke @ Lit

My fave Birthday's of '06:

Mine and wifey's of course! Mine was shenangigans, ooooof course. Although wifey got a cute pic of her on Lastnightsparty.com, so that's too cool for school. At her Super Sweet 24 (BEST THEME EVER) we danced on the bar and I had a Hello Kitty party antenna. Come on.

My fave t-shirt of '06:

My fave new bands discovered in '06:

1. Aerovox (who I spent half my time going to see this year basically, a fun but unhealthy obsession)

2. Aberdeen City
3. the Purrs
4. Pugwash
5. Shane Bartell
6. Mixel Pixel
7. Lisa Papineau (a girl?! I know. But she kicks ass.)
8. Death of Fashion
9. the House of Love (ok, they're old but I'd never heard of em!)
10. Goat Explosion (ex Elkland, but it counts)

My fave weirdo obsession of '06:

the Time Being aka, Steve Kilbey's blog, which I first heard of a couple days after he started it last November. I promptly started commenting as krissythegroupie and fell in love with it. It's voyeuristic and funny and sad and pretty and he's such an amazing writer, poet and storyteller...I'm rambling. Plus he's written a couple shoutouts to me on it, and when I met him after the show he knew who I was from it. Ridiculous! Which takes me to...

My fave 15 mins of '06:

Now this is a tough one..there were lots of great times..but I'm gonna keep it real. Real nerdy.

Talking to Steve K. was the coolest thing I did all year. I talked to him a couple times when I was 18 but I was intimidated and shy and it was weird. He was as nice and funny as I imagined. It was just normal and cool. Oh, and he kissed me on the cheek wait wahhhhh? That was the shizz-nite..even when he goofed on Mac. Even that was alright.

And let's be honest, the dime-a-dozen moments like this came in second place:

In 2007 I look forward to getting a design job of SOME KIND, a new Interpol album, a new Raveonettes album, another summer, watching Days of Our Lives with wifey, trips to Target, winning at poker, Gerard Butler movies, and of course, drinking too much with my friends. I'm sure a boyfriend will be something perhaps for 2008 or 09.

Wednesday, January 03, 2007

Umm..swoon.

I found these on the Bunnyforum. Shut up, my bunny addiction is still this fierce. I know I'm a nerd but all that matters are how retardedly gorgeously scruffy hot Mac looks. I dedicate this post and these pics to my next daydream.

I'm not even gonna talk about his grey hair for the sake of my sanity. I can even hear wifey shaking her head right now..ahh yes. I hope the next Bunnytour he's got the shagginess goinz on, daaaamn!

Goodbye Christmas, Hello Kitty!

So going home for Xmas was alright, I saw Black Christmas with my hugbunny and hung with the fam and got some cool booty. I mean *presents*, not ass btdubs. Although it's too bad I didn't get any of the latter. Boo. But so first off, Black Christmas..I'm not even getting into it. There was lotsa eyeball yanking out and eating, creatively slaughtered soriority girls, an aweome puking scene, and a SCARY ASS yellow-skinned serial killer. Even scarier than that little elf Elijah Wood in Sin City! I dunno, if yer a sicko like moi, this movie is pretty entertaining, however it also made me want to see the original one from the 70s too. I betcha that one's even better. AND a trailer I saw for this movie made me almost PASS THE EFF OUT. OMfuckingG. I'm not a big fan (actually I hate them) of epic movies and period peices, nor even of Frank Miller. But that movie looks amaaaazing and intense, and let's not ignore the fact that caught my eye first. My baby Gerard Butler is the main dude. Ahhh, Gerry! The first time I saw him in Dracula 2000 at age 17 I was in loooove, then he went on to even star in my fave story the Phantom of the Opera (and even sang for it!!). Um, let's not make fun of me cos I like that play either, ok? It's a grade-school thing..i don't like any other musicals..it's slightly embarrassing..moving on! Gerry is the hotness, bottom line. And in the movie he wears a LOINCLOTH and is so fucking BUFF it's ridiculous. Although I prefer the tux in the Phantom..it's funny in high school he was in this made for TNT movie Attila, and I still have that shit on tape in my old room. Laaaaame! But check how hottie he was in it!

I know his hair is silly but still Woo!..I gotta find that old tape. Damn.

This was my fave gift of the holiday, combining my love of Hello Kitty and my addiction to caffeine:

Don't FRONT like that isn't the cutest goddamn thing you've ever seen! Also, my hugbunny gave me this shirt, and I almost DIED. Ahh, Hot Topic! My old mall haunt!

I also got a Hello Kitty electric toothbrush, barrettes, snowglobe, makeup bag, ect. Oh! and a purse with unicorns and <3s on it from wifey!! ..cos I'm 5. Haha.

On Christmas Day my cousin busted out something that made my day a lil brighter.

Ummm..whiskey that tasted like yummy cough medicine?! See ya in hell, liver!

Speaking of whiskey, I'm not even going into New Year's cos it was pretty much a bust. Cos I don't remember any of it. What a wonderful start to a new year huh. I must learn to not get so damn excitable. Oh well, I'm looking forward to such things as the new Interpol album this year. And dare I say it, GASP, a tour?! Carlos, I miss youuuuu...
